Groundwork UK Community Leader Of The Year Award 2018

Tony Wright, Chief Executive of Forward Assist is delighted to have been nominated for the Groundwork UK Community Leader Of The Year Award 2018.

“Its a real honour to be nominated for this award in recognition of Team Forward Assists continued efforts to help military veterans make the transition from military service to civilian life. Our Soldier2Citizen ethos has help numerous veterans adjust to civilian life by serving the community. The Veterans Cook2Give team cook have cooked and served over 7500 healthy nutritious meals for elderly members of the local community since its inception in January 2017. Much of the produce is grown on the Veterans community Allotments and any surplus is donated to homeless charities to help those less fortunate than ourselves.”
