Forward Assist's Trading Arm 'About Turn' gains NOCN Recognised Training Centre Status

Forward Assist are delighted to report that About Turn has gained NOCN  recognised Training Centre status. Working closely with the Open College Network North East; The National Open College Network (NOCN) offers high quality, flexible courses and training. NOCN qualifications will let veterans study at their own pace and work towards real qualifications by building up credits.

About Turn are currently offering NOCN qualifications in Alcohol Awareness, Angling and Conservation and a 'Veteran Specific' Mentoring Course. Future courses will include Computing & IT, Preparing for Life & Work, Returning to Learning, Digital Photography,Sport Orientated Courses,Personal & Creative Development, and Preparing for Life & Work.

When Veterans achieve a national qualification they will receive a certificate to show that the qualification forms part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). These qualifications are nationally recognised and could help veterans progress to further study or work. NOCN qualifications put veterans in the driving seat. They can choose what to study, when to study and how much to study whilst also accessing Forward Assists' other activities. A short qualification/course may offer one or two credits. Longer qualifications may offer over 15 credits.
