They leave the Forces alone and haunted by the memories of war, but now a group of veterans are getting their lives back on track by occupying the kitchen.
Forward Assist, a support group for vulnerable ex-servicemen, has taught its veterans how to cook and develop the basic skills they need to adjust to life back at home.
Large numbers of veterans leave the Forces unskilled and uneducated, struggling to find a job and unable to cope without the adrenaline and camaraderie of the frontline.
